Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

⚠️ PLACEHOLDER TEXT, MUST BE REVIEWED BY A LAWYER before going live. Not to be treated as legally valid as-is.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on and read from your device when you browse a site. The term also covers other trackers: pixels, tags, locally stored identifiers and device fingerprints. This policy applies to gelfighter.com, operated by MeedWise (see the Legal notice).

2. Your consent

Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, strictly necessary trackers are set without consent; all others are set only after free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent. At present, the site only sets strictly necessary trackers: no advertising or audience-measurement trackers are used. No consent banner is therefore required at this stage. Should such trackers be introduced, they would be set only after your consent, refusing being as easy as accepting, and your choice kept for six (6) months.

3. Trackers used

Strictly necessary trackers (no consent required): • Session / cart — keeping your session and cart — session duration. • Authentication — signing in to your customer account (magic link) and to the admin area — session. • Security / anti-abuse — protection against fraud and abuse — technical. • Language preference — remembering your chosen language — up to 12 months. • Age confirmation — remembering your confirmation (local storage) — persistent on your device. • Load balancing (Vercel) — technical operation of the site — session. No audience-measurement (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising (e.g. Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel) or third-party chat trackers are currently set.

4. Durations

No consent-based trackers are currently used. Strictly necessary trackers last for the session or, for the language preference, up to twelve (12) months.

5. Consequences of refusal

As the trackers set are strictly necessary (session, cart, sign-in, security), blocking them via your browser may affect navigation and the ability to place an order.

6. Browser settings

You can configure your browser to block cookies. This may affect how some features work. Steps vary by browser; see its help section. Opting out of advertising trackers is also possible via industry platforms such as Youronlinechoices.

7. Minors

The age of digital consent is 15 in France. Below that age, setting consent-based trackers — particularly advertising ones — requires authorization from the holder of parental authority. As the site only sets strictly necessary trackers, no minor’s consent is required at this stage.
